When the pandemic hit, everything happened overnight. Schools that used to run on manual systems — teachers recording grades on paper, admin staff handling everything face-to-face — suddenly had to shift entirely to remote work. There was no time to prepare.
Problem
Teachers didn't know how to input grades anymore. Student attendance became a mess, with no way to track it properly. Principals and admin staff lost access to data — checking student records meant waiting until they could physically go to school, but the school was closed. Every process, from teaching to administration, felt like it was moving in the dark without direction.
Solution
That's when I realized schools needed one system that could bring everything together in a single place, accessible from anywhere. I chose JIBAS as the solution.
I helped the school set up from scratch — migrating scattered manual data into an organized digital system, and training teachers and staff who weren't used to technology to feel comfortable using it. The process wasn't instant. A lot had to be explained step by step, but gradually, everyone started to understand.
Impact
Once the system was running, things calmed down. Teachers could input grades and attendance from home without panic. Principals could monitor school progress anytime without needing to be there in person. Admin staff also worked lighter since data was organized and easy to access.
Most importantly, the school kept running even when the world wasn't okay. Processes that once looked like they'd collapse managed to hold on and keep moving until the crisis passed.
